Curt and I have been planning interesting ways to meet up with folks, raffle off a GoPro HD camera and raise some money for Komen. The GoPro and GoPro BacPac are very nice and I hope they go to a good home. Over the last few weeks, many positive things have happened for us, including new sponsors rolling in. Once Curt finalizes the details, we will announce who is climbing onboard with ATLtotheArctic.
Saturday, June 4th, we are having a get-together from 12:00 until 2pm.
The event will be held at my shop, Decatur Garage, located at 189 Sams Street, Decatur Georgia 30030. You can also find directions and a map to the shop on the website. At the June 4th event, we will raffle off the GoPro HD camera. I hope to have the 2011 riders there (Curt, Paul and Lori) with their bikes and stories for why they wanted to do this ride.
On a personal note, I'm happy to say my sister Kris had her chemotherapy port removed and she is doing very well. Still many questions to ask, and to be answered, but for now it is all very positive for her and for our family.
I hope everyone tunes in again this year. The 2011 riders will have the SPOT tracking device turned on and the riders will be writing and telling their own stories from the road.
